    Ingredients List:

    • One pound (450 grams) of ground beef or beef and pork mixture
    • One finely chopped onion
    • Two minced garlic cloves
    • One carrot, cut finely
    • One celery stem, cut finely
    • One can of crushed tomatoes (14 oz/400g).
    • TWO TSPOTS of tomato paste
    • 240 milliliters (cup) of beef or veggie broth
    • 120ml, or 1/2 cup, red wine (optional)
    • One teaspoon of oregano, dried
    •  One tsp of dried basil
    • Add pepper and salt to taste.
    • Olive oil
    • 450g/1 pound of pasta
    • Optional grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

    Step By Step Guidelines:

    1.  In a big skillet or saucepan, warm up some olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped celery, carrot, onion, and garlic. Simmer the veggies until they become tender.

    2.  Using a spoon, break up the ground beef as it cooks until it turns brown in the skillet.

    3.  To intensify the taste, stir in the tomato paste and heat for a few minutes.

    4.  Add the red wine (if using), beef broth, and crushed tomatoes. Mix thoroughly to blend.

    5.  Add the salt, pepper, dried oregano, and dry basil. To let the flavors infuse, lower the heat to low, cover, and simmer the sauce for at least half an hour. If you have more time, boil it for longer.

    6.  In a another pot, prepare the spaghetti per the directions on the package while the sauce is simmering. After draining, set away.

    7. Taste and, if necessary, adjust the seasoning once the sauce has thickened and the flavors have blended.

    8.  Spoon the cooked spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce. If preferred, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.

Enjoy Your Home Made Spaghetti bolognese.
