Ingredients list:

Edamame with Garlic Sesame:

  • two cups of frozen or fresh edamame
  • One tablespoon of sesame oil
  • two minced garlic cloves
  • One spoonful of soy sauce
  • One teaspoon of optional sesame seeds
  • Flakes of red pepper (optional; adds a little heat)
  • chopped green onions (optional) as a garnish

Step By Step Guidelines:

1.  Prepare the edamame:

  • Cook the edamame as directed on the package if you're using frozen ones. If using fresh edamame, cook them for five to seven minutes in mildly salted water, or until they become soft.

2.  Get a skillet ready:

  • Sesame oil should be heated over medium heat in a big skillet.

3.  Sauté the garlic:

  • Garlic powder should be added to the skillet and cooked for one to two minutes, or until aromatic. Take care to prevent burning the garlic.

4.  Include Edamame:

  • To the skillet, add the cooked and drained edamame. Coat them with the sesame oil and garlic.

5.  The season:

  • After adding soy sauce to the edamame, toss them again to make sure all of the edamame are coated equally.

6.  Include any optional ingredients:

Toss the edamame again after adding the red pepper flakes and sesame seeds, if using.

7.  Serve:

  • Move the edamame onto a platter for serving.
  • If desired, garnish with finely sliced green onions.
