Ingredients List:

  • 225g/8 oz of rice noodles
  • One pound (450g) of large peeled and deveined shrimp
  • Vegetable oil, two tablespoons
  • Three minced garlic cloves
  • Two softly beaten eggs
  • One cup sprouted beans
  • 4 chopped green onions
  • Chopped peanuts, half a cup
  • Wedge limes for serving

Regarding the Pad Thai Sauce:

  • Three tsp of fish sauce
  • Tamarind paste, two tablespoons
  • One-third cup soy sauce
  • One tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (or more, according to taste) red pepper flakes

Step By Step Guidelines:

1. Prepare the rice noodles:

  • As directed on the package, soak the rice noodles in hot water until they are slightly softer but still firm. After draining, set away.

2. Prepare Thai Pad Sauce:

  • Combine the fish sauce, sugar, red pepper flakes, tamarind paste, and soy sauce in a small bowl. To balance the flavors to your liking, adjust the ingredients.
3. Prepare Shrimp:
  • In a big wok or skillet, heat up 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. When the shrimp are opaque and pink, add them and simmer. After taking the shrimp out of the pan, set it aside.

4. Stir-Fry Eggs with Garlic:

  • Pour an additional tablespoon of oil into the same pan. Stir-fry the minced garlic for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Transfer the beaten eggs to the other side of the pan after pushing the garlic to one side. Beat the eggs until they are just set.

5. Blend the Ingredients:

  • Fill the pan with the drained and soaked rice noodles. Cover the noodles with the Pad Thai sauce. Combine by tossing everything together.

6. Add the veggies and shrimp:

  • Include the chopped green onions, cooked shrimp, and bean sprouts in the pan. Toss one more to fully incorporate and warm all the ingredients.

7. Dishwash:

  • Serve the Thai Shrimp Pad Thai from bowls or plates.
  •  Add lime wedges and chopped peanuts as garnish.
