Chicken Alfredo Pasta
- 450g/1 pound of fettuccine pasta
- Two skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- To taste, add salt and black pepper.
- Two tsp olive oil
- three minced garlic cloves
- One cup of heavy cream
- Grated Parmesan cheese, one cup
- half a cup of butter without salt
- Chop some fresh parsley for garnish.
Step By Step Guidelines:
1. Get the pasta ready:
- Follow the directions on the package to cook the fettuccine pasta. After draining, set away.
2. cook the chicken:
- On both sides, sprinkle chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
- One tablespoon of olive oil should be added to a large skillet and heated to medium-high. Cook the chicken breasts until they are well done and have a golden brown color on both sides. This normally takes, depending on thickness, six to seven minutes per side. After the chicken has finished cooking, take it out of the skillet and give it some time to rest before slicing it into thin strips.
3. To make Alfredo sauce:
- Add one more tablespoon of olive oil to the same skillet and place it over medium heat. Garlic powder should be added and sautéed for one minute or until aromatic.
- Melt the butter after adding it to the skillet. Add the heavy cream while constantly stirring.
- After the cream is thoroughly heated, add the grated Parmesan cheese gradually while swirling constantly to ensure the cheese melts and the sauce smooths. To taste, add salt and pepper for seasoning.
4. Mix the chicken with the sauce.
- Return the sliced chicken to the skillet and allow it to simmer in the Alfredo sauce for a few minutes, or until it is thoroughly warm.
5. Mix with pasta:
- Cooked fettuccine pasta should be added to the skillet and thoroughly coated with Alfredo sauce. To get the right consistency, thin up any excess thick sauce by adding a small amount of the pasta water that was set aside.
6. Serve:
- Add freshly cut parsley as a garnish.
- Warm up the pasta with chicken Alfredo.
